Actually, jmac, I did call, and you responded by text:

So the expectation on my part was that you would call me back when you were available, if that seems reasonable. I had long since abandoned the idea of beating bushes by phones with agencies (although I tried for awhile there); just didn't get anywhere.

Additionally, access on the Nevada side of the Truckee down in Mogul has become more restricted, with fencing and no trespassing signs in areas where trespassing was formerly permitted. Circumstances on the Truckee are quite different than the Yuba, on the T, areas where trespassing on private land was formerly permitted, new land owners are not allowing it any longer. At times this enforcement by the property owner has crossed the line of decency and legality. No gates or questions about legal access, but other shenanigans are going on.

If you mean chasing off wade fishermen off with gunshots and the local police not investigating because no one was hit, that's another thread on this forum. The other disturbing tactic used on the Truckee (and Yuba) to haze fishermen is releasing large unleashed dogs that find you and bark like hell. As fucked up as this is, there are much worse possible outcomes of this behavior than not being able to fish. Like dying.
