With new high-end American-made fly rods at $1,000, these are good deals.

Sage doesn’t make them the same since they were bought out.

I still think Sage sells more $1,000 fly rods than most other US companies.

G Loomis makes all kinds of fishing rods so they are probably making more rods, in total.

Here in Florida for high-end spinning rods, G Loomis is big.

All these top American fly rod makers have had a turnover of their staff because they all got old and retired.

The guys like Gary Loomis, Steve Rajeff, Jerry Seim, Marc Bale, Tom Morgan, and Larry Kenney, the guys who built these great rod

companies all retired. I am sure these guys and gals trained some younger people well to carry on the traditions of excellence.

Bill, kinda like us "old and retired".
Gary Loomis is still working. He owns North Fork Rods and has the Edge Fly Rods. A great rod, which I find is kinda fast but that's what I like.

I just had Alan Koga, Peter Koga's brother fishing with me last week. He lives in the Keys somewhere near Big Pine Key. He lives on the water and has baby tarpon around his dock most of the time. Those are his pets and doesn't fish for them. He's got a full decked out Maverick Flats boat. Gotta pay him a visit
