Deer Creek (Hwy 32) in October?

I've only ever fished Deer Creek in the spring, then again, I've only lived in the area for a couple years: anyone have any thoughts?

It fishes well all year around, at least the catch-and-release section does. Mostly smaller fish but epic numbers. The put-and-take section fishes pretty poorly after they stop stocking it. Depending on the rains you can get into some steelhead below Lower Falls.

The October caddis should be coming off out there soon.

All of the mid-elevation streams that have any water are usually very good in October.

Up that way I think the North Fork of the Feather River is good then too.
