shad vs striper

So i was enjoying my evening up here in chico with a Sierra nevada tallboy Torpedo and a fly rod in my hand when i hook a medium sized shad...i fight it all the way up to the point where I am raising my rod in the air to land the fish and the world explodes at my feet....I dont know how big the striper was that ate my shad but calling it REALLLLLLLY EFFFFING BIG..would be accurate...home cleaning my shorts now....:D

BTW...love this time of year...a cold beer on the river for an evening is epic.

Love that! I have had that experience fishing for summer steel...big pig chasing my 18" steelie all around and up to the shoreline into the shallows as well. Got to love those big vacuums, they ain't scared of schet!
