Does anyone have experience with the rubber sole boots Patagonia refers to as the "sticky sole?" Do they work as well as felt?

I've been fishing them for about six months and really like them. I think their light weight is an advantage for covering walking distances along the bank. If I know that I have heavy water to cross or super slick conditions I'll still use my boots with studs.

in real slippery conditions they are still dicey. I have had a pair for over a year now and use them in rafts, easy wading rivers, hiking long land treks to the river, rock hopping along the any fork of Feather and any fork of the American and they worked real well up in Alaska where slime wasn't an issue. Just stay of big slimy rock like the Pit has and they work great. One pair of wading boots doesn't cut it these days.
